We have 3 exciting ways that people can learn new skills, meet other people and get involved in practical volunteering.
Opportunity 1 - BTCV Green Prints Events

Opportunity 2 – National Vocational skills Qualifications
NVQ Courses in Practical Land based skills - learn practical skills in an outdoor setting?
BTCV courses offer a wide range of opportunities to obtain practical conservation skills whilst working on community projects and they provide the necessary skills, knowledge and experience to seek employment within the countryside and landscaping sector.
As part of this course students will also have the opportunity to volunteer with our Day Projects Team and earn credits to receive further training in First Aid, Health & Safety, Pond Management, Biodiversity Skills and much more.

Opportunity 3 – join our Practical Projects Team
Do you need help with managing your site?
Would you like to volunteer with BTCV on a regular basis?
This team goes out every Thursday and Friday and has volunteer leaders who are trained in practical conservation and habitat management. The leaders are also qualified chainsaw and brush cutter operators. The team are currently fully booked until the end of August.
This volunteering opportunity is open to anyone over 16 with an interest in conservation, you can volunteer every week or come along when you can. Volunteers will receive full instruction and support to learn new skills and will have an opportunity to become a BTCV accredited Leader – Leaders volunteer throughout the world!
